The Junior League of Yakima Sustainer’s Legacy Scholarship

Scholarship Details

Description:  Scholarships for women who are at least 25 years of age and who are attending college or technical training after a significant break in their higher education.  The applicant must plan to pursue her career in the Yakima area.  Scholarships are for the 2019-2020 academic year.  Scholarships are between $1000 and $7500 each with a total of $15,000 awarded.  Between 2 and 4 scholarships will be awarded.  The application process is from April 1, 2019 to June 15, 2019.  Final candidates will be contacted for an interview.  Awards will be made before July 31, 2019.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be female and at least 25 years of age living in the Yakima County in Washington State.  Applicants should have had a break in their higher education and be enrolled or accepted to a Private 4-year University or College, Private Vocational, Technical, or Career College, Public 4-year University or College, Public 2-year Community College, or Technical College where they are seeking an Undergraduate or Advanced Degree.
